As a resident of the state of Washington I was finally able to buy shares of horses this past Thursday. Yes--bought Authentic shares and watched the Kentucky Derby today. Awesome experience. Thank you very much for working hard to allow Washington residents the ability to join the fun.

I've attended more than 50 Kentucky Derbies, mostly as a journalist, so I've had the bug for a while. Born in Louisville, I've always loved horse racing and now I can say I own a piece of a Kentucky Derby winner. Lucky? You bet. But even if Authentic hadn't won, I can tell you I still had a ball and will stay active with MyRacehorse.com.

I have to admit when I first noticed advertisements for Myracehorse I was pretty skeptical that the micro shares concept could be successfully applied to horse ownership. I worked in the breeding end of the business for over a decade and have been involved as an owner either on my own or in partnership for over twenty years since leaving the industry as my primary profession. I can say the communication and horse updates from Myracehorse are fantastic; better than any other partnership group I have been involved with and that cost hundreds of times more to be a part of. The financials are transparent and charged expenses are in line with industry standards. They also pay quickly. In short there’s not much more that they could do to be better.

It is good to see Shared Empire moving to a new home. Having Tom Amoss take over training for her is great news. He is a great horseman. She is well bred and only 2 years old. With horses you have to be patient. Anything can happen with young horses. I wish Mr. Amoss and everyone involved with Shared Empire all the best. Enjoy the ride. We have a long way to go. Only time will tell. GO SHARED EMPIRE.

If you have any doubts, just look at picture number 3 on his offer page. What appears to be a knot on his nose, 2 black eyes, and he's still sticking his tongue out at you. That screams fighter. He's worth a flier to me.
